The Red State Pain, by Timothy Egan in The New York Times examines and explains Santorum’s comments made earlier this summer about republicans. He states that they look like the party of plutocrats, stiffing working people and the poor. Santorum insinuates that Republicans care about everything else except human beings; and they do not care if people get hurt by their laws. The article also examines the effects of the recently passed bill that could deprive 3.8 million people of assistance to buy food next year although; the same aid has helped them to stay above the poverty line.
